Where We Are

Hannington is midway between Newbury and Basingstoke off the A339. If using a satnav the postcode is RG26 5TZ.

Entry is free as is parking in the designated car parks. Please do not park on any of the approach roads – many of which are quite narrow – as this will cause traffic difficulties and your car will be at risk from damage by large farm vehicles.

Directions:

From Basingstoke - Take the A339 towards Newbury. The Hannington turn off is signposted and to the left about 6 miles from Basingstoke and a mile or so before Kingsclere. Follow the signs to the main car parks
From Newbury - Take the A339 towards Basingstoke. The Hannington turn off is beyond Kingsclere and on the right a mile or so after Sandford Springs golf club.
From Reading - Take the A33 to Basingstoke and follow directons as above.
From Overton - Take the B3400 towards Basingstoke. The Hannington turn off is to the left around 1.5miles from Overton soon after you pass a small garage on the right hand side of the road. Hannington is about 4 miles along this road which is narrow in places.
From Oakley - Take the B3400 towards Overton. Make a right hand turn after you go under the rail bridge and just before the Beach Arms. The road twists and turns a bit and Hannington is about 4 miles and you will be directed to the car park.

Please note:

Please do not try to come to the Fair from the Ibworth direction as this road is officially changed for the day to one way from Hannington for cars and service vehicles leaving the Fair.
It is not possible to travel from one side of the village to the other as the road through the village is officially closed from mid morning.
Disabled access: We have parking for vehicles carrying disabled visitors but it is only possible to provide this for blue badge holders. These parking areas are 200 metres or so from the main arena and much of the Fair is on a grass surface.
Each of the car parks will have a number of attendants and we ask that you follow their parking directions to ensure effective entry, parking and exit. Thank you.
